This web presence is pretty much the result of me reading Show your work by Austin Kleon. I created this page as a platform for showing and reporting on my progress of my projects.
I did this on my own web-page instead of any of the (micro-)blogging platforms because I want to be in control and ownership of my data. Cross-posts to some micro-blogging sites may follow in the future, yet the primary entry-point will be this homepage.
In the spirit of "lean startup" I even write this blog entry as the very first "main" content, immediately after barely installing and configuring the bare minimum of the content management system.
I went with Grav because I wanted a simple file-based system that allows me to back-up the data using Git. That my hosting provider supports PHP as the default was an added benefit, since I didn't need more packages or annual fees.
